Welcome to Ball-Chatham!
For nearly two centuries, students have been educated within the boundaries of the Ball-Chatham School District, first in one-room schoolhouses, to now over 963,000 square feet that comprise our six schools today. Our school district is a leader and innovator in public education, offering families some of the best educational choices in Illinois. We are one of the largest employers in Sangamon County, as well. We provide public education to 4,650 students, with more than 600 teachers and staff at work in our schools.
Over the last decade, comprehensive and ongoing capital improvements have renovated and updated all of our schools. Our state-of-the-art learning environments are preparing students for their futures.
